Tonight's Research Topic, Homemade Pizza

Finished product. mmmmmmmmmmmmm pizza




Tonight's receipe, Mom's old standby




2 pkg active yeast


2 cups warm water


2 tsp salt


2 tsp sugar


1/2 cup parmesian cheese (optional)


1/2 cup vegitable oil (virgin olive oil optional)


6-7 cups all purpose unbleached flour




Combine yeast, water and let stand for 5 minutes.


Combine salt, sugar, and 3-4 cups flour and water/yeast mixture and mix by hand or with hand mixer. Gradually add oil and remaining flour until blended.


Kneed dough for 3-5 minutes. (optional, but recommended)


Place dough in clean and slightly oiled bowl in a warm place for at least 2 hours, longer if desired.




After dough has risen, roll out, place toppings and cook at 425 for 10 minutes. (Cooking times can vary.)
