Sprout

Sprout, our smallest yet largest dog, was suddenly and unfairly taken from us March 10th as she was struck and instantly killed by a car outside our home. Our hearts are heavy and empty and her loss has left us inconsolably heart broken, we are lost without her beautiful little being.

That little dog was larger than life itself, and truly one of the greatest dogs I have ever had the pleasure be close to.

Sprout came into our life unexpectedly and by chance. She made our lives incredibly rich, joyous, and we are truly better people for having her here in our lives. Sprout loved as fiercely and as joyously as she lived. I will forever miss her smiling face, her playfulness, her unbelievable speed and her absolute love of life. To type these words brings me great sadness.

We are glad that it was us that she chose. She was our princess.

I love you more than words can tell, Sprout, I am so very sorry to see you gone.

All I know is something like a bird within her sang,
All I know she sang a little while and then flew on,
Tell me all that you know, I'll show you snow and rain.

If you hear that same sweet song again, will you know why?
Anyone who sings a tune so sweet is passin' by,
Laugh in the sunshine, sing, cry in the dark, fly through the night.

Don't cry now, don't you cry, don't you cry anymore.
Sleep in the stars, don't you cry, dry your eyes on the wind.

All I know is something like a bird within her sang,
All I know she sang a little while and then flew off,
Tell me all that you know, I'll show you snow and rain.
